AUSTIN PRYFOGLE

Since her birth, story has been an ingrained part of Austin's being. From riding her bike to second grade while carrying a 10-pound copy of the Complete Works of Shakespeare to writing a feature-length film for her college essays, Austin has always craved stories. And now after many years of sitting at the dinner table thrilling those around her with tremendous tales, she puts this passion to use in the University of Southern California's prestigious School of Cinematic Arts in the highly competitive Writing for the Screen and Television division. But for Austin her passion for story goes hand in hand with her passion for working with children. She works closely with the Children's Miracle Network and the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, raising money through a 14-hour dance marathon that takes all year to plan. Every dollar means another day for these kids to have more stories. She also remains very invested in the aquatic program at the Cary Family YMCA, teaching the youth of tomorrow how to swim. What better way to learn the joy of stories than from those who are just learning how to tell them.
