JEFFREY BOYETTE

Jeffrey couldn’t find a way to make coffee and conversation his full-time career. Instead, he worked for 10 years as an elementary educator before becoming a speech-language pathologist. Jeffrey graduated from Delta State University with degrees in education and speech pathology. He earned his graduate degree at The Mississippi University for Women. After teaching for several years, Jeffrey and his wife moved to eastern North Carolina, where he discovered a great way to indulge his love of coffee and conversation. He has worked with geriatric stroke patients for 10 years – and is unashamed of the fact the he incorporates coffee into the rehabilitation process! Jeffrey is married to Nicola Reed, a public school teacher. They have three children in middle school and keep a busy schedule of church and community involvement. Jeffrey carves out some personal time for painting and running, and he can’t seem to give up the habit of buying and restoring old houses. A native of Mississippi, Jeffrey developed his love of stories from sitting on the porch with his grandfather, a small-town minister. While the adults sat around telling stories, Jeffrey would sip sweet tea and take it all in. Over the years, he has learned to tell a few stories as well and is fascinated by the stories his patients tell. It makes for good conversation … over coffee!
