Cary, N.C., Jan. 5, 2010 - Judson Press, the publishing ministry of American Baptist Churches USA, has hired Signal Hill to design the cover for a forthcoming book.
Rachel Gilmore's Church Programs & Celebrations for All Generations will be a valuable resource for church leaders in cultivating intergenerational fellowship and ministry.
"We're thrilled to take on this project for Judson Press, one of the nation's oldest and most respected church publishers," said Kathleen Heafey, Signal Hill's senior designer.
Recently, Signal Hill designed covers for three titles by The Alban Institute: Know Your Story and Lead with It: The Power of Narrative in Clergy Leadership, by Richard L. Hester and Kelli Walker-Jones; Synagogues in a Time of Change: Fragmentation and Diversity in Jewish Religious Movements, edited by Zachary I. Heller; and Tending to the Holy: The Practice of the Presence of God in Ministry, by Bruce G. Epperly and Katherine Gould Epperly.
Founded in 1824 as the Baptist General Tract Society, Judson Press was renamed in 1922 after Baptist missionary Adoniram Judson. The publisher has more than 350 books in print and releases about 12 new titles each year.
Signal Hill's creative team brings a wealth of experience to book design, particularly religious titles. "Our team is keenly interested in the religious landscape and conversant with current theological trends and issues," Heafey said. "All of that knowledge is integrated with our marketing and design expertise. That makes us a valuable and unique design firm for Judson Press."
