Cary, N.C., June 7, 2010 -- How to lead amid transition and change? That's the question Daniel Pryfogle, principal and creative director of The Signal Hill Company, will take up Sept. 13-14 in a special retreat for nonprofit leaders in the St. Louis area.
"Leadership in Between" is a retreat for CEOs and senior leaders of agencies affiliated with the Council for Health and Human Service Ministries of the United Church of Christ (CHHSM).
Pryfogle will co-facilitate with Jeanne Gladden, partner in the business coaching practice The Quality Coach!
"Leadership in between is about the challenging reality all leaders face today: to lead amid budget cutbacks, layoffs and organizational change, between recession and recovery, between the movement from the old to the new," Pryfogle says. "And leadership in between is about possibility in this time: the potential of our organizations, the resources that are already present, and the power that emerges between us - the sustaining energy of leadership in community."
Limited to 25 participants, the retreat will create a space where colleagues can speak honestly of this moment in which it feels like things are falling apart yet also coming together. Through highly interactive sessions, with ample time for rest and fellowship with peers, participants will explore both their challenges and their power through a creative blend of theological/spiritual reflection, change theory, and strength-based development.
The retreat will be held outside downtown St. Louis at the Mercy Center, a beautiful 70-acre campus, with gardens, walking path and labyrinth.
