Alban Selects Signal Hill for Book Design
May 19, 2009
Cary, N.C., May 19, 2009 – The Alban Institute, a leading ecumenical publisher of books and resources for congregational leaders, has hired Signal Hill to design book covers for two forthcoming titles.
Signal Hill previously designed covers for Alban’s Ministry Greenhouse: Cultivating Environments for Practical Learning, by George M. Hillman Jr.; and Blessed Connections: Relationships that Sustain Vital Ministry, by Judith Schwanz.
“We’re proud to work with such a respected publisher and resource developer as Alban,” said Kathleen Heafey, Signal Hill’s senior designer. “Book cover design is always an exciting challenge – to create a look that evokes the theme and content of the book while setting it apart from other titles.”
Signal Hill’s creative team brings a wealth of experience to projects like this, Heafey said. “We are aware of the contemporary congregational landscape and conversant with current theological trends, plus we are savvy about marketing,” she said. “That knowledge makes us a valuable partner for Alban.”
