As an editor, copy editor and award-winning writer for numerous publications, Debbie knows how to help other writers craft powerful stories.
Her mantra is “get it right.” That refers not only to spelling and grammar, but also to helping writers tell stories brilliantly. Her roots in daily journalism at The Salisbury Post and The News & Observer help her bring skillful editing and an eye for the perfect detail to clients’ projects. Debbie’s background includes many years as a section editor, where she was responsible for the whole package: copy editing, coaching writers, and developing story ideas and visuals. As a writer, blogger and the author of five cookbooks, she delights in developing projects from start to finish. Media training enables her to talk and cook on camera at the same time. Debbie has a degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and lives in Raleigh, N.C.
